We begin with a breathtaking panoramic view of Jerusalem from the Promenade, overlooking the city from the south. We continue through East Jerusalem, driving around the Old City Walls passing Jaffa Gate, the New Gate, and Nablus Gate, following the old 1967 borderline we ascend to Mt. Scopus overlooking the city from the north. Enjoy the view of the city and the Wilderness of Judea.

Proceed to Mount of Olives which borders the Old City of Jerusalem from the east, passing the Hebrew University and the Augusta Victoria Lutheran Center to enjoy a magnificent view of the Old City with the Temple Mt., the Dome of the Rock and the El-Aksa Mosque.

Travel along the Ophel Road, view the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations, the Kidron Valley, the South Wall Excavations and the City of David. Stop at Mount  Zion, see the Dormition abbey, visit the Room of the Last Supper and the traditional Tomb of King David. Enter the Old City for a walking tour of the Jewish Quarter, see the recent archaeological excavations, the Cardo, the Broad Wall and visit the Western WallAt the Wailing Wall, also known as the Western Wall or Kotel, you’ll have the chance to take part in a tradition that spans centuries. Placing a note in the Wailing Wall involves inscribing your prayers, hopes, or personal messages on pieces of paper and tucking them into the ancient stones. This time-honored practice offers a unique opportunity to connect with history and spirituality, as your notes become part of a tradition that has endured through the ages.

Continue to the Christian Quarter passing through the bustling Arab market, walk along the Via Dolorosa, see the Stations of the Cross and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Discover the significant religious sites housed within the church, such as the Aedicule and Golgotha. Each site tells a part of the profound story of Jesus’ crucifixion and burial, providing a unique opportunity for exploration and reflection. Depending on the timing of your visit, you may have the chance to observe or participate in religious ceremonies conducted by the diverse Christian denominations that share this revered space. This adds a dynamic and cultural dimension to the visit.

Leave Jerusalem, drive east through the Wilderness of Judea, view of the Inn of the Good Samaritan, Nabi Musa mosque and the City of Jericho, arrive at the Dead Sea, stop at Kalia beach for a swim, enjoy floating on the water and the black mud bathUpon arrival at the Dead Sea, the otherworldly setting unfolds before you. Surrounded by desert mountains, the intensely blue waters of the Dead Sea create a captivating contrast against the arid landscape. Your private tour allows for a personalized experience, ensuring you can take in the mesmerizing views and immerse yourself in the unique ambiance at your own pace. The Dead Sea’s legendary buoyancy invites you to experience the unparalleled sensation of floating effortlessly on its surface. This natural phenomenon, a result of the sea’s high salt concentration, is a highlight of the journey. Whether you’re a swimmer or non-swimmer, the Dead Sea provides a therapeutic and buoyant experience like no other. Indulge in the rejuvenating properties of the Dead Sea’s mineral-rich mud. Your private tour allows for a leisurely application of this famed mud, renowned for its beneficial effects on the skin. Take your time to bask in the mineral goodness, and perhaps capture the moment with the stunning backdrop of the Dead Sea.

As the day draws to a close, your private guide ensures a comfortable return to your hotel, leaving you with a heart full of unique memories.

Wonderful tour with Avi. Favorite stop was the Sea of Galilee. Avi was wonderful with our group and made the tour fit our requests. We were able to stay away from most large crowds and navigate sites as slowly or quickly as we wanted. Highly recommend this tour.

This company is fantastic. They worked with us to accommodate our group and add on other activities. And Benjamin was the best driver! He was prompt and knowledgeable and fun. Thanks to Enrique, our truly wonderful guide, and to Benjamin of Compass for creating the private tour package, our group of six, over-55 year olds had an exceptional experience seeing Israel and also Petra and Wadi Rum in Jordan. There was enough flexibility each day where we were able to learn much history, take breaks, shoot photos, avoid long lines and even make extra stops that we requested such as markets and other interest spots. I would choose Compass and Enrique again and recommend them to my family and friends.

We have just completed a private tour for a week with Compass and would highly recommend company services to anyone contemplating either a short or longer visit to Israel. Our guide Saul knew how to manage the group, with his humour, knowledge, patience and attention to the varying ages and interests. Some of us had visited Israel many times before but he kept us engaged and we continued to learn new facts particularly through his stories and anecdotes. Highly recommend Compass
