Detailed itinerary

Pickup from Ashdod port, your guide will be waiting for you at the main meeting deck, after you pass the immigration control. Guide will be standing with the sing you cannot miss. As soon as all group members collected you will proceed to Jerusalem. Spend a full day exploring the cities of Jerusalem and Bethlehem, tour that takes you to sites of religious and historical importance, including UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Begin your private tour from Mount of Olives, where you can see the Old CityTemple Mount, and the Golden Dome of the Rock.

Imagine standing where Jesus stood over two thousand years ago. Visit the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations, which has a beautiful golden front. Inside, you’ll find the Rock of Agony, where it’s believed Jesus prayed the night before he was crucified.

Go through the Old City walls and enter through an old gate. Walk through the Jewish Quarter to reach the Western Wall, the only part left from the Second Temple that was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD. At the Wailing Wall, also known as the Western Wall or Kotel, you’ll have the chance to take part in a tradition that spans centuries. Placing a note in the Wailing Wall involves inscribing your prayers, hopes, or personal messages on pieces of paper and tucking them into the ancient stones. This time-honored practice offers a unique opportunity to connect with history and spirituality, as your notes become part of a tradition that has endured through the ages.

Proceed to Muslim Quarter, explore the colorful Old City market, and visit the Christian Quarter. Walk along the Via Dolorosa  the path that Jesus walked, carrying his Cross, on the way to his crucifixion, follow the Stations of the Cross ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, identified as the place of the crucifixion and the Tomb of Jesus of Nazareth. Discover the significant religious sites housed within the church, such as the Aedicule and Golgotha. Each site tells a part of the profound story of Jesus’ crucifixion and burial, providing a unique opportunity for exploration and reflection. Depending on the timing of your visit, you may have the chance to observe or participate in religious ceremonies conducted by the diverse Christian denominations that share this revered space. This adds a dynamic and cultural dimension to the visit.

Second part of your tour continue on to Bethlehem. Drive towards Bethlehem via the Nativity Circle and visit Bethlehem’s Manger Square, named after the manger Jesus was born in. Manger Square is home to the Church of the Nativity, one of the world’s oldest-standing churches still functioning to this day. Underneath the Church stands the Grotto of the Nativity, the cave in which Jesus was born, the exact spot of birth is marked by a 14-pointed Star of Silver set into the floor.

After completing the tour, relax and enjoy convenient return transfer to Ashdod port, ensuring that it aligns with your ship’s departure schedule from the Ashdod port. Our tour guide in Bethlehem was excellent! He was cheerful, very knowledgeable, and patient. He made sure that everyone in our group was able to see and touch the Holy Manger and the area where the Three Kings' relics were. We had a great time in Bethlehem and our driver was also very nice -- he treated us to bread that looks like pretzels.

Unfortunately, due to recent events in Israel, we had to cancel our tour as our cruise changed route for the safety of guests. The company responded to us with a personalized response and promptly canceled our purchase, which could not be refunded in case of cancellation. I hope everything goes well in the Holy Land and next time we will definitely book with them again.

This tour was incredible. Spending only one day in Bethlehem and Jerusalem is daunting because there are so many places to see, but, when you have a guide like Yaniv, it’s not only possible, but it’s so enjoyable. Yaniv was a phenomenal guide—personable, knowledgeable, hilarious, and kind. He truly went above and beyond, letting our group stop at (far too many) local shops along our routes and taking us on local short cuts that allowed us to skip lines and see more things in less time. Make sure you’re well-rested before going on this tour, because it’s a long one, but it’s so worth it. Our driver, Abu Isa, was also amazing. The Mercedes shuttle was spacious, air conditioned, and very clean, and Abu Isa was always ready for our group whenever we would leave a spot to head on to the next. We never had to wait for our ride a single time the whole tour because Abu Isa was always ready for us. On the whole, this tour is amazing, perfect for those who have a full day to spend and want to see the highlights of Jerusalem and Bethlehem while also having time to get a taste for the local culture. Make sure to ask for Yaniv and Abu Isa!

This is 100% hands down the best tour I have ever been on. Travelling all the way from Australia this was literally the highlight of our trip. Avi our tour guide was amazing, welcoming, extremely knowledgeable and showed us all the secret spots on the tour of Jerusalem and Bethlehem that you just wouldn't get on a large bus tour. He treated us to some delicious traditional sesame bread and coffee, which as lovely experience. The vechile was beautiful, luxurious, new, clean with a fantastic A/C. We wanted a tour that delivered all the highlights of Jerusalem plus Bethlehem and this tour delivered that and more. The sights are breathtaking and definitely ticket all the boxes and more. If I could put down more stars I would. You cannot go past this tour, if you want to do the Jerusalem and Bethlehem right.
